Expect the unexpected
Don’t expect anything after class other than the unexpected—every individual will experience something different. You may feel nothing, or you may feel a whole bunch of things. If you have not hydrated or eaten properly, you may have a headache after class.You might feel exhausted and go to bed right away, or you might have more energy than you know what to do with. You may experience the sensation of nausea—please know this is normal and may be due to toxins moving out of your body, or the energy and emotion you have released. You may also feel sore after awakening new muscles and working so hard.
Embrace yoga as a constant
Always feel free to talk to our instructors or staff; we are here to listen and help. Remember that every day may feel different because we are always experiencing different things. Be ok with that— you are a continuously evolving being. The yoga is the constant, and it’s everything else that keeps changing. Embrace that idea and you’ll do just fine. Just remember to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! And come back tomorrow, of course!
